Takeover Fundraising

In order to continue supporting the young people who present shows and take part in training at the station, we have to ensure we are bringing in enough money to operate.

As many of you will know, Takeover Radio is operated by registered charity, Takeover Radio Children’s Media Trust. In order to continue supporting the young people who present shows and take part in training at the station, we have to ensure we are bringing in enough money to operate. Since December, Takeover Radio has been broadcasting short audio clips from a specialist broadcast PR company. They work towards getting research and reports out to a wide audience on behalf of their clients. Takeover has been playing audio clips from the company weekly, resulting in the organisation earning compensation for the air-time. Takeover has been able to raise a total of £600.00 since December, with half of that being raised in the last month. Takeover Radio’s Kristian Brocksopp has been leading this project:

“We are very pleased that we have been able to work together with this agency and we are thankful for their support. It only takes 2 to 3 hours a week in total and we can raise around £300 a month. We hope with this success, we can get more of the Takeover’s young people involved with fundraising and we can continue this fundraising success!”

We are always looking for volunteers to help out with small, key tasks such as this. To find out how you can get involved, visit our Contact Us page.
